I'm runnng Vista Home. When I transfered data from my XP computer to Vista,
Vista took the liberty of makng the default view for some of my data
directories a "media" view. There are no media type files in these
directories at all!! I have found no way to change this view. I want to see
date modified, file type, size, etc., just like the good old XP days.

How do I tell our not too bright Vista that these are NOT media files, and
to show me all the details? Thanks for any help.

You can configure Windows Explorer to show whatever columns you want...

Either change the folder template by -
right-click on an open area of the right pane, and select "customize this
folder", and choose "All items"

or, right-click on the Name heading, and select "More..."
