So I am sitting here, unable to open my Microsoft Money Plus because of some
unknown error.
I can't uninstall the Vista Updates that I suspect are the cause because
Vista won't let me.
Boot up time sucks.
Processor (X2 4400+) gets hijacked by SearchIndexer.exe immediately on
startup.
Multi-tasking? What multitasking?
..NET runs 10X slower on Vista
EVERYTHING runs slower on Vista

Someone, preferably from Microsoft, give me one good reason not to go back
to XP and wait for Windows 7.

Yeah Chad, it was a joke..

Exposé in MacOSX is eye candy as well, but very useful eye-candy.

If it's a new machine that came with Vista installed you may invalidate
your warranty by changing the OS.

Slow problems might be caused by no / wrong motherboard or chipset
drivers, indexing is a killer, disable it and also look at drive
properties and uncheck "Indexing" there too. This impacts boot time and
everything.

Sorry I was slow on the uptake.

Mac does a lot of things very well hardware and software and I think the
inclusion of Intel was a smart move because MSFT programs will run better on
the boxes, but I think they were drinking with the feature choice of the
Itouch. Purposefully allowing people to use Safari via WIFI or the Edge
Network but tweaking it so they can access web based email but can't send it
is ridiculous--and for that money it should have had a volume button and the
ability to copy paste. For purported design experts, they really blew it in
the Itouch and I hope it's reflected in sales. It could have been a great
item.

iPhone features the iTouch won’t give you

Erm, if you want those features, just get the iPhone then. You can't expect
to get all the communication features in what is essentially an iPod.

It's no different to buying Vista Ultimate rather than Home Premium.

Then turn it off. A version of this is installed with Office 2007 standard
and I got rid of it at once. There is simply to much overhead to that
program, despite the nice results. It does not even use multiple CPUs well.
