I have an AD environment in forest and child domains domains, all running
Windows 2003 R2.

Lately when I run DCDIAG command in one of the DC in the forest level I've
got this very strange error:

c:\>dcdiag
Domain Controller Diagnosis
Performing initial setup:
***ERROR: There is an inconsistency in the DS, suggest you run dcdiag in a
few moments, perhaps on a different DC.

I have tried doing basic names resolution, pings, updating SPs, run windows
update, get the Support tools latest but same. Strange enough even the DCs in
the child domain has same exact error when running DCDiag.

Can someone give me a hint?

Are you sure the version of dcdiag, is the same as the version of the o/s of
the dc's? Load the tools from a server install and see if that changes
anything.
