Greetings Arvin,
In Windows Live Messenger 2009 this was changed. All links, including Hotmail, now open in
your default browser. However, the login will not be automatic as Microsoft has no secure
way of logging you into a third party browser.
You may now search for all the posts from other people now begging for it to be changed back
to IE (and there's quite a lot of those actually).
