If that is the case, something is not setup properly. If a DC is multihomed,
or the domain is a single label name, that can cause problems with DNS
lookups and getting the correct Site DC/GC.
Are both DCs, GCs?
Did you absolutely confirm that your sites are configured properly, and the
proper IP subnet objects were created, and that the subnet objects were
associated with their respective site?
Do you have a screen shot of your site config and properties, where we can
confirm that for you?
