Default home page for Live Messenger

I loaded Messenger Live along with the toolbar on a Gateway MCE 2005 PC. It
set my homepage to runonce.msn.com/?v=msgrv75. It takes quite awhile for
the page to load--MSN.com is the page that comes up. Is this the default
page for Messenger Live? Why the roundabout way of getting there?

You can set your home page to be anything you would like. I don't know the
technical reason for the URL, but it is a redirect of sorts. Personally, on
slower connections I like to set my home page to something simple like
http://search.msn.com
