Good morning, hello.

When I click on a email addy using any browser, but most importantly, IE7
w/latest updates for IE7 & Windows Home Premium w/SP1, I'm told that Windows
Mail is not the default mail client, Yet I check the settings in IE7 and
Mail and it is the default. How may I fix this err?

Go to Default Programs, either via the Start menu or in control panel, and
ensure that both WM & IE have all their defaults set.

"Could not perform this operation because the mail client is not properly
installed". That is the error msg. I get after trying your solution sir.
It's also the same problem I had before I tried your solution too.

The following procedure should rewrite the default protocol assignments in
the registry?

Open Default Programs, this time click on "Set program access and computer
defaults."
Expand the Custom selection.
Select another email program besides Windows Mail. Click OK.
Then go back and select Windows Mail. Click OK.

If this does not work first time, try a reboot between the latter two moves.
