default winks

i have half of my default winks missings. I have uninstalled and reinstalled
msn live messenger 8.0.......still missing. Any suggestions.

Greetings dj,

Unfortunately to get the default ones back you'll have to rebuild your winks. Firstly,
backup your current using winks using this tool (or if you just want to redownload them you
don't have to do this):
http://www.baisoft.it/msnbackup_english.asp

Then, shut down Messenger by right-clicking on its icon in the notification area and choosing
Exit. Click Start, then Run, type
"%appdata%\microsoft\msn messenger" and click OK. Then find the folder associated to your
account (if you need to find the ID, see:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/msngrid.aspx). Then right-click each of the Winks folders
if available (Winks1, Winks2, Winks3) and choose Delete. Confirm the operation, then go back
into Messenger and sign in so it can re-create the default ones.

You can then go back and the backup tool again to put back the old ones.
