Everytime Defender runs, I get the following error:
"Windows Defender encountered an error: 0x8050800d
Some history items could not be displayed.
Please wait and try again...."

I have tried to go onto the defender newsgroup, but it keeps saying its
"temporarily" offline. It has been offline for a LONG time.

Does anyone know how I may resolve it?

290301 - Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;290 301
Start it and look for: Windows Defender Signatures and click remove. Then
try to update.

Thanks Mark, Nothing stating Windows Defender is listed in this utility.
What should I try next?
