define route print command in Vista

what does on-link mean under Gateway when viewing the route print command

is that referring to the gateway address in English form?

Mark, I believe your answer was meant for another question..... I just wanted
to know what "on-link" means in the ROUTE PRINT command..... in previouse
os', it would just have the gateway address in place of this ..... so i guess
i answered my own question...
