Defining a priority of service load?

Hi all,

I've just bought a new laptop with fingerprint-scanner in combination with
Vista Ultimate. An issue I found was that when I try to logon (as soon as the
logong screen appeared) with a fingerprint-sweep, the logon failed.
However, when I leave the logon screen for 1 minute before I do this ... the
logon succeeds. Investigation of the software company (Wave) which takes care
of the logon indicated that a service (NTRU) wasn't ready at time of boot.
Changing this service from manual to automatic didn't help.

So, my question; is there a way of moving up a service load in the boot
priority?

Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim

I am not sure, but you might check in Device Manager and see if ther
may be a option in the properties for this device for that

It is not the device which isn't ready ... it are the related services.
(The finger sweep itself is recognised, but the internal compare with stored
profiles fail).

Tim,

I was thinking that would be the case, but it was worth a look and see.
Hopefully someone will know a way to do this in Vista and post the
answer for you.

Sorry,
Shawn
