I have windows xp. I have defragmented my computer in the past and everything
went okay. Now it is saying that as I try to defrag, that it has been
corrupted. How do I fix this? Please Help!!

You are posting in the vista.general group.

Try microsoft.public.windowsxp.general

what has been corrupted? do a check disk

there are a couple of free defragmenters out there, since the Vista
Defragmenter has been scaled down to a service -like thing with no visual
feedback and IMHO horrible, see below for 2 free defragmenter tools:

http://www.defraggler.com/
and
