Hi everyone.

I am conversant with defragmenting Vista machines, but I have been unable to
answer a question that I have recently been asked.

Q, If a machine is not switched on at the time defragment is timed to run
does it automatically run next time its switch on?

It would help if someone could point me towards a Microsoft article that
explains Vista Defragmenting in detail.

Thanks for your help.

Grandad

No. This answer is from experience. When I worked the Beta of Vista it was like that
and it was also like that when Vista turned Gold
