Hi there.
I,ve been using vista ultimate(64bit) for a few months now without any major
issues apart from one very annoying problem.
From the moment I switch my pc on to reaching past the desktop welcome
screen it loads in lovely and fast but after that the hard drive almost
appears to stop running for 20-40 seconds before finaly sprining back into
life.
During the delay I can use most programs e.g browse the web, email, wmp and
so on but other programs like perfectdisk, nod32, wireless connection won't
connect on occasion and accessing the device manager will refuse to work till
after the delay.
As far as I can tell it only affects process,s/programs which need admin
privileges.
Ive tryed a half dozen installs on 2 different hard drives ranaging from
different drivers to using no drivers at all and it doesn't make a difference.
Uac on/off doesn't make a difference nor having a password set or not.
The person's problem below is the same thing if you have any trouble making
sense out of the above.
