delete and rename takes 30 seconds

I have Vista home premium. About a month ago the system suddenl
started slowing down whenever I tried to delete a file(s) or to rename
file. :cry: In fact it takes exactly 30 seconds! Everything else seem
to be working fine. BTW I have more than 1MB of free RAM available.
