Delete Internet Shortcut

I had some old favorites that I wanted to delete. When I did a search of
favorites, I ended up finding a ton of internet shortcuts to these old
favorites that I had thought I deleted. When I try delete these shortcuts by
right click and delete, I keep getting the message "could not find the item.
it is no longer located in "". Verify the items location and try again. When
I click on try again, the same message keep poping up. How else can i delete
these shortcuts?

I also tried to rename the shortcuts and then delete them, however it will
not let me rename them either.

If you refresh your desktop, or reboot, the deleted shortcuts will be gone.
