Delete Multiple duplicated Contacts

How do I delete multiple contacts in 1 go from my contacts list in Live Mail?
And no the check boxes alongside dont work?

Use the normal Windows selection techniques...
Ctrl-A to select all
hold Ctrl and click on individual contacts
click on a contact, hold the Shift key, and click on the end of a block of
contacts

If you are seeing check boxes, you are not in the WLM program. You are
on the Hotmail web site.

In Windows Live Mail, there are small icons to the left of the contacts
names.
They kind of look like check boxes.

The following response is based upon the following assumptions:

1. Windows Live Mail has signed into a Live Identity, which is
probably based upon a Hotmail or MSN email address
2. Having signed in, WLM synchronizes your local contact list
with the contact list on Hotmail webmail interface.
Synchronization has duplicated some or all of your contact
details.

The following steps should help you to resolve the problem.

1. Close WLMail
2. Use a web browser (such as Internet Explorer) to sign into
your Hotmail account.
3. Click on 'Options', followed by 'Contacts'. This will
display your complete contact list (including duplications)
4. Click on the down arrow, to the right of 'Manage' - an
select the 'Clean up contacts' option. Hotmail will identify all
duplicates - and invite you to combine them automatically.
5. Having combined the duplicate contacts, sign out from the
webmail interface.
6. Open WLMail - and allow it to sign into the same Live
identity. WLMail will synchronize with the remote contacts
list - which will eliminate the unwanted duplicates.

Fyi:
For WLM 2011 15x(beta)
....if signed on with a Live ID, the Contacts UI in WLM 15x has a 'Cleanup contacts' option which will open a browser window and accomplish 'Step 4' for that same Live ID
