Thanks for your reply. I was able to successfully delete most of these
unwanted files and folders.
There is only one file Vista doesn't allow me to delete because "file
is in use"; it's the "bootmgr" - not the one in the volume root, but
the one in C:\System Recovery Files\C . I can't figure which programm
or process is using it - unless Vista "thinks" it's the one in the root
and protects it ? Any idea ?
As for why I want to delete the folder it is because :
1) The folder tree is automatically recreated each time you restore the
files.
2) Even if I selected to backup only "Documents, Pictures, Music,
etc..", there is a *lot* of other stuff the HP Backup and Restore
manager include in the selection.. There were over 1.5 Gig of useless
stuff I wanted to get rid of.
Thanks again, and if you have a tip on how to delete "C:\System
Recovery Files\C\Bootmgr", I'll be glad to read it !
