Deleted Category won't go away

I created a category on people.live.com and it carried over to Windows Live
Messenger correctly. I later decided I didn't need the category and removed
all the members from it and deleted it from within Windows Live Messenger.
However, the category still appears at people.live.com. In addition, when I
go to "Manage categories" on that site and attempt to delete the category
there, I get the error "That category doesn't seem to exist." How can I
delete this category?

Never mind, I just didn't wait long enough. The category went away, it just
took a while.
