Deleted custom emoticons in MSN

Okay, so this is a big problem:

I used to have a ton of downloaded emoticons, which I downloaded the
old-fashioned way and created shortcuts for. However, the folder that all the
custom emoticons were in has been deleted. Unfortunately, now MSN still has
those shortcuts, and in turn creates blank boxes in my MSN chats.

I have tried going to Tools>Emoticons and deleting them one by one, but all
the blanks come back when I start up again...how do I permanently delete
these emoticon shortcuts?

Hi Sean,

When I go into the Application Data folder, there isn't a folder for
Microsoft or MSN...any other ideas?

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for the reply, but I *know* they're not showing up. How do I fix the
problem? I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling MSN Messenger, and the
problem still happens.

Maybe I should ask how to do a clean uninstall, so that my previous info
isn't stored?
