Deleted Instance of a Series Not Synchronizing

I have a continual problem in our Exchange 2007/Outlook 2007-WinXP
environment with multiple hardware devices (Samsung SCHI-760, Treo 650)
synch'ing through ActiveSync 4.5.

User A creates a recurring meeting request with no end date. User B accepts
and the meeting sync's properly to User B's phone. Through Outlook 2007,
User B deletes a single instance of the meeting. The meeting deletes
properly from User B's Outlook 2007 Calendar, but the deletion doesn't
propagate to the hand held device - the meeting remains on User B's phone.

I've tested to see if it matters whether the single instance is deleted by
the organizer or an attendee: the problem persists regardless.

I've tested to see if it matters if there is an end date to the recurring
series or if it goes forever: the problem persists regardless.

Besides unconfiguring and then reconfiguring User B's device to synch his
calendar, is there any way to fix this?

Many thanks!
-Rob

Hi,
First, what version of Windows Mobile is installed on your devices?

Beyond that there are issues with synchronizing calendar events without end
dates. So all I can suggest is to ask the OEMs to see if they have any rom
updates. BTW the Treo 650 has been discontinued so you may not be able to
update it.

Hi,
Were the appointments created with OWA? There have been some reports of
problems with appointments created with OWA causing problems with
synchronization.
