deleted itunes files

Hi,
After my lastest automatic update, it seems that all of my music files are
gone from the hard drive. I've tried the System Recovery twice that's built
in to my HP System but it says it can't recover from either date.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had their entire music content deleted by
an update?

Updates do not delete music files: something else must have done. A
possible culprit is an anti-spyware application.

System Restore cannot restore lost data files: it only protects exceutable
files, not data files such as music.

How about the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal updates? Isn't that just
like a spy ware application?
