i noticed when you delete a contact, the contact will remain on your
allow/block list. how do you delete a contact from these two lists? i
notice there is a 'delete' option when you right click on the name in the
allow/block list, but it isn't 'clickable'. one should just be able to delete
someone from all lists, including the block and allow list in the pricacy
section under tools/options.

Greetings Mark,

The only way to delete them is to use the Delete option you already found. However, this
Delete option will only be available if they've removed you from their main contact list.

Otherwise you cannot remove them.

This is a major drawback or flaw on MS Messenger. It they would fix them,
for those of us who are neat freaks, it would make this program almost
perfect. But I don't see it happening. Many of my friends no longer use old
'hotmail' accounts and have done on to other 'hotmail' accounts. But, of
course, I can't remove the old ones from my contact list under tools. Go
figure, MS's way of warped thinking.

:-)

Hi Jonathan,

I have seen your posts here and in other places and you seem like THE source
for WLM information. I hope you can help me. WLM Support has been
useless....

I have a problem with WLM 8.1. As many times as I delete contacts from WLM
and/or the CONTACTS tab, I am told they want to add me every time I log in to
WLM. This even happens in webmessenger.

I have followed other posts and cleaned the contact folders, deleted
registry keys, etc. - and nothing changes. Any ideas?

Thanks,

S -
