When deleting content of Softwaredistribution\Download WUA thinks patch is already downloaded

I had an error after installing a patch with a vbscript. The error says
the file was corrupt.
No problem. Maybe there was a corruption while downloading the patch
(also with vbscript).

I removed the content of C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download and
relaunched the vbscript.
Windows Update Agent says everything is downloaded but when he starts
installing the patch, it returns the following error: -2145099769 which
means the patch is not downloaded yet.

How can i say to WUA to rescan the download content, so WUA returns
that the patch is needed to download first.

Is there anyway to let WUA rescan whats downloaded and whats not?
Restarting the WUA service is not a solution.
Is there maybe a commandline parameter to do this. Does wuauctl.exe
/detectnow this?
