Hi John,
Two main things keep a file from being deleted:
1) it is locked by a program or is a system file
2) the user has insufficient privileges
I suspect the former, as this file type is specific to your autocad
software. Make sure the program is not only off, but also that there are no
remaining process threads in Task Manager. If the program features a "recent
files" list, you may want to clear this as well to ensure there are no
handles on the file.
As to the second, if the files are in the actual Program Files structure,
you may need to self-elevate in order to have sufficient privilege to remove
them.
