deleting previous login IDs

A couple of other people logged in to their Windows Live Mail account
from my computer. Now when I start Windows Live Mail, the Sign In
dialog box contains their Windows Live IDs. I haven't been able to
delete these and I haven't been able to locate where on the system
this information is stored.

I completely uninstalled Windows Live, rebooted, and then reinstalled
Windows Live Mail. Their IDs still appear in the Sign In dialog box.
I searched the registry and they're not there, unless they're
encrypted.

Might somebody know where on the system these previously used IDs are
held, and how I can clear the Sign In box of all previously used IDs?
Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Ken

Assuming IE use... Control Panel/Internet Settings... Content tab...
AutoComplete... Settings button... select what you will, then Delete
AutoComplete History... close/restart browser.

Firefox, Chrome, have their own storage...

Thanks, but that doesn't seem to work. The Windows Live Mail Sign In
dialog box appears on my screen immediately after I open Windows Live
Mail. Internet Explorer has not yet opened, so it would seem that the
history of the Sign In box is held in a different location than the
Internet Explorer AutoComplete History.

I'm not sure where the Live IDs are stored on your computer.
However the following procedure will remove them from a Windows
XP computer. It will probably work equally well with Vista and
Windows 7.

Open Internet Explorer
Enter http://login.live.com as the web address
The login page will list all of the live addresses that are
stored on your computer.
Move the mouse pointer over the name of the account you want to
remove.
A box will form around the Windows Live ID.
Click the little x on the upper right corner of the box.

You can also use Control Panel / User Accounts to manage your
network passwords.

?In the drop-down where the list is, click each one separately and click the
'forget me' option.

They are stored as 'credentials'...and not in a searchable form

The two recommended routes were provided by Bob and Art
- Control Panel/User Accounts/ --> manage network passwords
- ensure the username/Live ID is in the first field for WL signon screen,
then click Forget me

Following Bob and Art's suggestions, I managed to remove the real
Windows Live addresses that had been entered into my Sign In dialog
box and used to sign in. However, in the process of trying to learn
where these addresses were held, I had also entered a couple of unique
artificial ones, so I could search my system and the registry for
them. Those don't seem to be removable, probably because they were
never used to complete a sign in process, and can't be. Do you have
any idea of how I can remove these artificial credentials?

Wtg Ken!
Glad to hear it..

For those reading along...
Credential Manager is a central store point for username/pw and certs. The
Live ID's present on the Windows Live Sign In screen in WL Essentials are
stored here(to reduce the time of having to reenter the data
manually..helpful when more than one Live is in use across the multiple WL
Essential applications(Mail, Messenger, PhotoGallery etc).

Ken noted accessing Credential Manager via the Control Panel...that is
unique to Win7. In Vista, one accesses those stored Live ID's via Control
Panel/User Accounts/Manage My Network Passwords.
