Deleting Restore Points

I'm running Vista Home Premium on an Acer Aspire T180 system with 2 GB of RAM.

As I've been installing Windows updates today, my system keeps creating
Restore points. The other day, after a Safe Mode startup, somehow all my
restore points were erased. I managed to get started and noticed that my
system was running a lot faster. (I should mention that the increased speed
was obtained right before installing another 1 GB of RAM). So, now I'm
looking to reduce the number of restore points my system saves. Do I need to
do this with 2 GB of RAM and is there an easy way to do that?

Thanks........Paul C.
