Deleting shortcut

I had installed a program and have since uninstalled it. The shortcut on my
desktop will not let me delete it. How could I get rid of it? All other
files related to that program have been removed.

Hi Steve--

Try booting into Safe Mode and if necessary right click
start>explorer>desktop and shift+delete it from there. If necessary you can
also use:
