Dell Axim X5 & Activesync 3.8

Hello, I have a dell Axim x5 and I am using Activesync 3.8 and the only
options for syncing are to replace items on the desktop or the server. I
have an Ipaq installed on another computer with the same activesync 3.8
software and it gives me an option of leaving the item unresolved to allow
me to pick which item to overwrite. This is under the 'options' 'rules'
'conflict resolution'. Then Axim is not set up to sync with the server and I
don't want it to. I have uninstalled active sync, reinstalled, deleted all
active sync folders from the hard drive, edited the registry to remove
anything to do with active sync and this still happens. The problem is when
I am not connected to my desktop and I make a change on my Axim and then
plug it back into the cradle the desktop overwrites the Axim. I have
attached 2 pdf's to show what the active sync rules show for the same
software. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Microsoft combined the conflict resolution options for the server and the
desktop in the same dialog box. The server option does not apply if you are
not synchronizing directly with Exchange 2003.

As you said you are using different versions of ActiveSync between the
desktops. I do not know why Microsoft made this change.
