Need a few suggestions here... all is done on a new SATA drive, so there
should be no lingering issues.

System is a dell dimension 9150... drives are maxtor SATA's if it matters.

1) booted to vista disk, tried to install... can't find drives... grabbed
the drivers from the dell site, (xp) but vista still doesn't see drives.

2) installed windows xp pro from scratch... updated all crits... and then
ran vista compatibility from web... all said okay... when running the upgrade
on the vista disk from windows... run's (5-15 minutes), reboots, and then
sits with the window vista "progress bar" (for lack of knowing what to call
it) for a long time... (didn't fully time, but at least 30 minutes) and seems
to just keep "running".

Suggestions? Am I jumping the gun and stopping it after 30 minutes... or is
it stuck in a loop. I'm re burning the DVD just in case, but I think the DVD
is fine.
