I have a Inspirion 1501 w/Vista. When I go to print I get a message that says
"Communication not Available". I have installed w/CD 2x and off website 1x. I
have also unplugged both USB & Power cords, restarting computer as well
turning printer off and back on again. Please help!
Thanks!

Based on the information you have provided, you've likely installed the
wrong drivers. According to the HP website, the Vista drivers for your
printer are already included with Vista and there's no need to install from
CD or download anything.

You will likely need to uninstall the current software for the printer and
start over. Check the information at the following link with regard to
driver installation for your printer and not, if your printer came with a
software bundle, it was likely tied to the old drivers, hence you won't be
able to use that software in Vista as the software bundle probably installs
the old drivers:

You're welcome. You'll get the hang of it.

Good luck.
