Dell Inspiron Upgrade to Vista

I have just upgraded a Dell Inspiron with XP home SP2 to Vista
Business. It was working okay, but when coming out of hibernation, the
screen would just go blue with white lines and shut down. I installed
the latest ATI video driver from Dell and now, when it gets to the
desktop, the same thing happens. I can only boot in Safe Mode. I am
getting ready to do a complete install of Vista SP1 (not upgrade).

Has anyone had any problems with the Vista video drivers for this
laptop?

Jerry

I just did a clean install of Vista SP1 and it automatically loaded
all drivers properly for this laptop. Maybe this may help someone in
the future. I probably could have uninstalled the device and just let
Vista reload it.
