I got a laptop with Vista installed a week or so ago, and downloaded
messenger from the microsoft site, and now it closes at least 2 times an hour
saying something about DEP closing it, i tried to turn it off, and it wouldnt
let me, I've tried running the program as an adminstrator, and its still
doing it... does anyone have any advice?

Thank you

Greetings,

Although this isn't supposed to happen anymore, try making sure you have the latest flash:

I just downloaded the flash, just in case and it closed about 5 minutes
after... so I don't think that's the problem :-(

From what I can tell from users feedback, some have this problem and some
don't. The only reliable solution for now is to down-grade to Windows Live
Messenger 8.0.
