DEP is preventing me from using live messenger

Hi everybody,im having some troubles with messenger.. i have an ace
aspire laptop and vista home premium x64 and DEP(data preventio
software) is not letting me use windows live messenger(and windows mai
either) it keeps shutting my messenger window down as soon as I loggin.
i read a couple of post about this matter.. there seems to be a proble
with acers drivers and DEP.. i found a patch i was told it worked but
dont know how o installl it,its a .dll fil
Im starting to get mad about all this situatio

The issue is the Acer eDataSecurity software. I'm not sure what patch you're referring to as
the previous one disappeared from the Acer site quite awhile ago (a link would be great), but
you can simply uninstall it to solve the problem.
