Hello

I turned DEP off by reading the vistax64 forum.
when i rebooted, a big problem raised.
windows vista ( home premium ) crashed to continue.
i selected safe mode and other F8 choices...but still problem is there.

then I used Vista DVD to repair startup...problem not solved.
I used system restore...but not worked.

Are you in Iran?
We sell special Windows to Iran, which is designed to crash all the time

Actually we don't sell to Persia.
They simply hack & steal. As I tried to explain many times given my
international experience, as opposed to most of you guys born/raised in USA.

Hello Arsham,

You might see if booting to the command prompt from your Vista
installation DVD, then enabling DEP again may help. OPTION TWO in the
link below will help show you how to boot into the command prompt if
needed.

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/19...t-startup.html

If you do the
"'*_Restore_the_computer's_software_to_the_origina l_condition_*'
(http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/document?c=us&l=en&s=gen&docid=3E48AE3870775D64E04 0A68F5B2877D4&journalid=67EED475A6E9B6D8E040AE0AB5 E157DB&Query=&SystemID=&ServiceTag=&contenttype=&o s=&component=&lang=&doclang=&toggle=&dl=#restore1_ task3)"
option from Dell, then it will format your hard drive and restore Vista
back to factory default like the day you first got it. It should fix
your porblem, but it will wipe out all of your files though.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

I would do the ones in the link that I posted above.

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/20...tml#post973839

bootrec /fixmbr

(your dvdrom drive letter):\boot\bootsect.exe /nt60 all /force

del C:\boot\bcd

bootrec /rebuildbcd

Close cmd prompt, remove dvd, Reboot.
