Desktop gadgets not working

Two of my three desktop Vista gadgets -- stock prices and foreign
currency -- have stopped working most of the time in recent
days, giving "Service not available" messages. Yet my third widget --
local weather -- is mostly working fine.

The same problem exists on two Vista machines at different locations.
Is anyone else having this problem? Any solution ideas?

Any problems with your Internet connection? Are the related web sites not
available? The servers that supply the info might be down. Those gadgets rely
on the Internet and you must be connected at all times. BTW, gadgets are
memory hogs. Nice to have, but they will sap your computer's speed.

I have received the same "Service not available" messages in the past few
days, but it corrects itself with no action on my part.
