Desktop gets HUGE, lose icons, and have to reboot to get them back

Hi. Dell Laptop, have been disqusted with ViSTA since I got stuck with it
forever ago. Vista Home Premuim.
If i walk a way for to long, my computer goes into some wierd state where my
desktop and icons and curser and everything get HUGE and I can't even see the
entire desktop. The only way I have been able to get it back to normal is to
completely shut down and restart. Any sugestions? This is my livelhood, and
wasted time in not joyous.

Does the screen resolution change (you can restore it via. Right
Click->Personalize->Display Settings), or does something else happen?

Thanks for the response. I can go in nd change my display settings to the
highst respolution, and get my screen back, but it doesn't last. It goes back
to the HUGE version after a few minutes unles I reboot.

Step 1 - Install updated video drivers. Only get them from Dell's
website for your specific model laptop. Test. If this fixes things,
you're done. If not, see Step 2.

Step 2 - Call Dell tech support for repair/replacement because normally
when this happens it is because the video card (chip) is failing. Since
this is a laptop, you can't fix this yourself.
