The game is probably switching the display to a lower resolution and Windows
is rearranging the icons to be visible at that resolution. It then doesn't
change them back when switched back to your preferred resolution.

Classic and long running example of Microsoft stupidity. A rumored 50
million lines of code in Vista and it STILL can't remember the desktop
icon arrangement if you or some application changes resolution. When
you switch back it should restore the desktop as it was. It can't.

The only word to describe such incompetence is PATHETIC!

Watch the usual fanboy loons squeal I'm being unfair.

No fix then? live with it. Remove all desktop icons then it won't irritate
me, i guess.
Supposed to be Vista games. I suppose that is a broad term. Thanks guys.

I agree. It is so discouraging. No one there thought it worth fixing?
They don't know how?
They just don't care.

Yeah, it's old. October of last year is freaking ancient in Usenet
terms.

Problem is: that sappy web interface you are using has all the old
posts, but the vast majority of folks using this group aren't using it
and thus don't see it.

It looks as if you lack the intelligence to use it even if we pointed
you right at it.
