1. I just read the very informative tutorial on "Fences" that backdrop
pointed to - I might use that program just because it's (IMO) very elegant
:-)
2. Yesterday I stumbled onto a couple of links that I had accumulated. One
was, by golly, Fences:

3. Although I have 60 icons on my desktop (I had perhaps 100 in XP!), and
although they get moved around occasionally (e.g., I had to do a safe boot
the other day & that rearranged the icons), I still don't use these
programs. I think that's weird of me, but what the heck :-)
