Hi, I am running 64bit Vista, don't have many problems with it..... Wood
touched etc.

Recently I have been getting desktop ini files popping up everywhere, in
file folders on desktop

I don't know where they are coming from, and the world seems to continue to
rotate if I delete them.
Does anyone have any idea where they are coming from and more importantly
why?

Thanks

Nig

go to control panel (make sure you have it set to classic view from the left
sidebar link) > folder options > go to the view tab, and from the list of
items
select the one that says "do not show hidden files or folders"

Just ignore those ini files.. they are normal but hidden by default

Hello Nig

These are hidden system files that tell Vista how to display folders
To stop seeing them, you will need to set hidden system files to b
hidden again. Step 3 (Option Two) in the link below will help show yo
how to if needed

Hope this helps
