I recently upgraded my computer... bought an Asus m2ne sli mainboard with
Athlon 64 x2 5400 processor 1 gig 500 mhz ram.. sata HD got a PNY geforce
7300 gs 256mb ddr2 PCIe GPU. I thaught I was pretty much set to rip it up,
but my desktop performance is only 3.0 Everything else is up at the top
end except the "D.P." is there anything I can do about that? I ordered the 64
bit upgrade disk to take full advantage of the processor, will that help?
All that being said, I CAN play the high end games I want to play, I guess I
just kind of took it like a slap in the face that it looks so low.

2 gig RAM would be sweet.
That 7300 is low end for graphics card.

http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphi...=721&chart=275

yours is towards the bottom.

My SLI 6800's get a 4.9 graphics....5.9 desktop

The PCIe card is probably faster....but you'll try the x1300 anyway !
If you swap cards though..it may set off Vista's activation...you'll have to
reactivate, phone method is about 5 minutes.

I don't think changing the graphics card will cause a reactivation to be
necessary.
I changed my Radeon 9600 pro (AGP) for a old PCI card for a test and no
re-activation was necessary.

Frank, once again, reveals his reading comprehension impairment and
responds with his usual lies, insults and bluster.
