Desktop wallpaper corrupted behind Sidebar

I have a clean install of Vista Ultimate Edition 32 bit. I have a
strange problem where the desktop background is corrupted behind
Windows Sidebar as in the screenshot below:

I never had this problem with my previous Vista install and I'm not
running anything new that should make any difference. The same Adobe
Gamma profiles on both monitors etc.

Any ideas anyone?

Doesn't look corrupted to me are you sure this isn't just a transparency
problem. I don't use the sidebar but I believe you can set the level of
transparency on the side bar. Your's seem to be set to 0

It's not corrupted as such - there is no transparency on it, and you are
seeing the whole alpha channel as solid. I've seen this before, on a
friend's computer. It was caused by Google Desktop Search, but I would be
surprised if they have not fixed this yet.
