Hi all...

I'm having a problem deleting a folder from my desktop and it's driving me
nuts!

It's my itunes folder that i transfered over from my old hardrive. I've
copied all the music I want of it, so I don't need a the contents anymore.
Whenever I try and delete it the user account control box comes up and asks
for permission. It then comes up saying 'destination folder action denied'.

I'm the only user on this computer and my account has (I think) full
administarive control.

Why is it so difficult to delete a folder? Can any anyone help me out? Would
be much appreciated.

Thanks

Has any one got any ideas of how I can delete this folder or do I have to
keep it on my desktop forever as an ugly blot?

Open Control Panel, open User Accounts, click "Turn User Account Control On
or Off," turn it off, delete the folder and then turn it back on.

Thanks but I've tried turning user account control off, but that doesn't
help. I still can't delete the folder.

Sometimes, when faced with this, I've had to delete the folder contents
first, then delete the folder. If there are sub-folders, I've had to delete
their contents one by one, then delete each sub-folder and then the main
folder when empty.

Thanks so much Michael. That worked a treat. There were several sub-folders
within the itunes folder that had to be opened up and then deleted like you
said.

Not sure why they had to make it so difficult to perform a siple task, but
hey-ho... All good now.
