Every Time when I click on the "Details ... " of an item to be updated,
nothing happen, is that what it's suppose to be?
Or I'm missing some software on my pc?

Thanks.

Add to the above, this PC is XP SP2 with all the latest available updates.

The usual explanation would be it's a symptom of a misconfigured
popup blocker.

Right-click, Properties on the thing you are clicking on
to see what is is supposed to be. You might be able to defeat a popup
blocker by manually constructing the URL that the button would generate
and then open that explicitly in a new window.
