How do I determine if I have a pilot version of WGA Notifications and
which version?

All the hotfix/update installers/uninstallers have been removed.

Let me try again:
How do I determine if I have the pilot version and which version?
Microsoft is very specific that it must be Pilot version. I have already
been to the kb page. The first step is to verify that the pilot version
is installed.
However, I have removed the install/uninstall files so they doesn't
appear in the Windows part of the control panel as Microsoft directs.

Thanks again,
Jim

If you no longer have "Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications(KB905474)"
listed in Add||Remove Programs section of the Control Panel, then take a
look at the following two files in your System Folder:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\WgaLogon.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\WgaTray.exe

Assuming you still have these files in your System Folder, the following is
the Version info for them.

Version 1.5.540.0 = General Release (most recent)

Versions 1.5.0527.0 to 1.5.0532.2 = Pilot Program

Ya, but.. how do you find which version of wga it is? Surely just finding those files you listed (wgalogon and wgatray) doesn't mean we have the two versions you list, which still is confusing because it is like you are saying if we have those two files, then we have the general version of wga AND the pilot version.

"Assuming you still have these files in your System Folder, the following is
the Version info for them."

That doesn't make sense to me. Because, I'm thinking everyone who has wga installed has those two files, and I just learned there are several dozen versions of wga, so maybe when this was first posted there were only two versions, but you still didn't answer HOW to find out WHICH version it is.
