device connect/disconnect

With some frequency, I get a Device Connect/Device Disconnect tone.
Sometimes (syncing my phone) I understand the tone. Most of the time,
AFAIK, no device is connecting/disconnecting. How can I troubleshoot this?

If I understand you correctly, have you paired your phone with the
machine, is so you can turn off Bluetooth in the phone to prevent
it wanting to sync with the PC when it see it, or set the phone not
to connect automatically.

I am having the exact same problem. A device claims to connect (and I hear
the connect tone) and one second later the device disconnects (and I hear the
disconnect tone). My Dell has bluetooth but I own no bluetooth devices. In
fact, the "device" falsely connects and disconnects even when I'm in the
middle of an isolated picnic ground.

Did you manage to resolve this problem?
