Hello folks,

we have got a Windows Server 2008 DC with an installed domain-based DFS
Root.

The Clients (XP SP2) are sometimes disconnect to the mapped DFS drive. When
the user are clicking twice to the drive mapping the client is connected
again to the DFS.

Is there a way to disable the disconnect process, because some of the local
programs want connect to a network path and that won´t run, because it seems
like the dfs connection is not connected. even when the user a clicking
twice to the drive mapping the local client programs are working fine.

thanks for your support.

regards,
Jens

Jens,
Is this problem specific to DFS, or to mapped drives generally?
