We have DomainA & DomainB will external, no transitive trust on domain level.
DomainA have DFS namespace, how would I configure DomainB / assign permission
on DomainB to allow domainB user can see DomainA Namespace ?

Edward,
typically, you would accomplish this by adding domain global or universal
groups from DomainB to domain local groups in DomainA (alternatively, you
can also add user accounts from DomainB directly into domain local groups in
DomainA). For recommendations regarding actual level of permissions, refer
to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308568 and
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc775480.aspx

Marcin,

Thank you for your input. We found DomainB PC can't see \\DomainA.com\DFS
namespace if we use DomainB DNS & WINS. We need to change that PC using
Domain A DNS & WINS IP as 1st one, it could resolve it.

I would ask - Is that any way to set DomainB DNS and WINS to get DomainA DFS
nameSpace infomation ?

Regards,
Edward

Edward,
configure secondary or stub DNS zone for domainA AD namespace on Domain B
DNS server - and vice versa (alternatively, you can use for this purpose
conditional forwarding - assuming you are operating in Windows Server 2003
environment). Refer to
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc778475.aspx for details.
As far as WINS is concerned, you can use WINS replication to provide
resolution across two environments (more info at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc786754.aspx)

Thk for info. I will check how to do on DNS. Since we use QIP as DNS server.

I have one more thing not full understand. When I browse \\domainA.com\DFS
, Would such info provided by DNS ?

We currently have replication on WINS also between DomainA and DomainB, I
expect it could show \\DomainA.com\DFS.

Regards,
Edward
