I have 2 servers with Windows 2003 Enterprise R2 with SP2 installed. I am
using DFS-R to replicate several folders on 2 servers, and namespaces for the
access.
From time to time access to the folders will freeze the screen for 30-40
seconds.
I have installed the fixes mentioned in KB915377 but this did not solve the
issue.
All clients are having the same problem (XPsp2, Vista and windows terminal
users 2000/2003). They are using links like \\engels\data and this is working
fine except for the freezing of the screens.
There are no errors displayed on the 2 servers and no errors on the clients.
Is there a way to fix this problem?

Hi, Patrick

In cases of slow access, usually it’s a misconfiguration or downed machine.
If you can’t find a downed DC, or if you can’t find misconfigurations in
your environment, I advise you to call Microsoft Support and check that out…
support.microsoft.com.
