Hello,

I've never really needed DFS before but can it work with domains that are
unrelated but a trust has been created? I'm running Windows 2008.

Thanks

OK - so there is no way to do it if they aren't in the same forest?

I haven't tested it, but I am not sure it will work

DFS, or DFS-R? I suspect DFS might work, but I've never tested... DFS-R
will not work, it definitely needs both sides to participate in the same
AD forest to mirror the sync settings.

DFS is a service that provides a single point of reference and a logical
tree structure for file system resources that may be physically located
anywhere on the network.

DFS-R is the component that replicates files between multiple physical
locations.
